The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in ROZ FOUSTITSES's zone, Zacharias Porros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panos Stergiatos came out of the goal and Zacharias Porros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panos Stergiatos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iosif Tassoglou in the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of DOXA DRAMAS booed when ROZ FOUSTITSES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikos Symeonidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zacharias Porros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Panos Stergiatos made a huge save. Zacharias Porros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Stergiatos having to interfere. If Zacharias Porros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Tassoglou in the 33rd minute of play forced ROZ FOUSTITSES's goalkeeper Panos Stergiatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgos Darlas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaggelis Eleftheriadis having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Iosif Tassoglou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DOXA DRAMAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iosif Tassoglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zinon Kominatos's late challenge caught a ROZ FOUSTITSES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zinon Kominatos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Zinon Kominatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the game, Charalambos Bountouris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vaggelis Eleftheriadis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charalambos Bountouris in the 47th minute of play forced DOXA DRAMAS's goalkeeper Vaggelis Eleftheriadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

DOXA DRAMAS's Vaggelis Eleftheriadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Darlas in the 52nd minute of play. Notis Panagiotakis scored 0-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vaggelis Eleftheriadis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iosif Tassoglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Panos Stergiatos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panos Stergiatos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacharias Porros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charalambos Bountouris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vaggelis Eleftheriadis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. If Charalambos Bountouris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vaggelis Eleftheriadis was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Charalambos Bountouris capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Charalambos Bountouris really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. When the match had been going on for 84 minutes, ROZ FOUSTITSES's Themos Varouchas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vaggelis Eleftheriadis. When Charalambos Bountouris came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the ROZ FOUSTITSES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charalambos Bountouris couldn't finish the play. Iosif Tassoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simos Vistakis kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Vaggelis Eleftheriadis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charalambos Bountouris in the 96th minute of the match.
