Spectators: 5774 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Pieria fc's Stefanos Katsabas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2ndth minute of the game Alketas Mantouvalos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pieria fc's Evaggelos Belesis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omiros Soumis got free with Evaggelos Belesis in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute Alketas Mantouvalos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaggelos Belesis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alketas Mantouvalos came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Deviliakos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alketas Mantouvalos couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Alketas Mantouvalos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Evaggelos Belesis was a little too slow when Alketas Mantouvalos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Evaggelos Belesis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alketas Mantouvalos in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deviliakos FC's goalkeeper Christos Zervoudakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christos Zervoudakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefanos Katsabas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Aris Zounis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christos Zervoudakis having to make a save. Christos Zervoudakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aris Zounis, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Omiros Soumis took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evaggelos Belesis. Evaggelos Belesis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alketas Mantouvalos made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Pieria fc booed when Deviliakos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Gitsioudis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stamatis Papastefanou charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stamatis Papastefanou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th match minute, Deviliakos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stamatis Papastefanou to maneuver through the defense. Aris Zounis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Christos Zervoudakis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 68th match minute, Pieria fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telis Sioufas to maneuver through the defense. Alketas Mantouvalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Deviliakos FC's zone, Aris Zounis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christos Zervoudakis came out of the goal and Aris Zounis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Omiros Soumis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Evaggelos Belesis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pieria fc getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Vaggelis Psifidis hit a great ball. Alexandros Zoubadellis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Evaggelos Belesis. Pieria fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 89 minutes, Ntinos Maridis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deviliakos FC and the Pieria fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Ntinos Maridis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christos Zervoudakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefanos Katsabas in the 92nd minute of play. Stefanos Katsabas struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Christos Zervoudakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pieria fc. Pieria fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
