PaokEuosmou's Pipis Adamakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nasos Okkas in the 7th minute of play. Thomas Vougas struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Pipis Adamakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anatolou. Anatolou's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nasos Okkas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Takis Katsoulis kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Pipis Adamakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasos Okkas in the 28th minute of play. Thomas Vougas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Pipis Adamakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nasos Okkas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pipis Adamakis having to interfere. Pipis Adamakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nasos Okkas in the 43rd minute of the match. Simos Plitsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markos Soupidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Nasos Okkas made the kick off in the second half. Nasos Okkas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The supporters of PaokEuosmou booed when Anatolou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleftherios Lentis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Takis Katsoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. PaokEuosmou's supporters rose to their feet, but Takis Katsoulis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simos Plitsis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
