Thomas Stavrou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simos Plitsis having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Gortynia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fotis Stergallas to maneuver through the defense. Simos Plitsis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Stavrou in the 67th minute of the match. With a little luck, Gortynia's Anestis Fanakos got control of the ball when Eleftherios Lentis tried to sneak it across the goal line.
