The supporters of Potamilan FC booed when Santorini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. The crowd rose to their feet as Santorini's Christoforos Tamiolakis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Savas Prezerakos. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. In the 23rd minute, Santorini's Christoforos Tamiolakis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Savas Prezerakos. Savas Prezerakos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. If Christoforos Tamiolakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santorini's Paris Semos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinos Michail in the 40th minute of play. Potamilan FC's Savas Prezerakos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Potamilan FC from getting a goal against them. Kostas Mavrostomos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paris Semos having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christoforos Tamiolakis made a kick off. When Diogenis Toursounidis came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Santorini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogenis Toursounidis couldn't finish the play. Christoforos Tamiolakis took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Savas Prezerakos. Savas Prezerakos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If Marinos Michail had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marinos Michail received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Paris Semos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Marinos Michail got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 77 minutes of play, Potamilan FC's Kostas Mavrostomos made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paris Semos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andreas Bebis kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Kostas Mavrostomos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paris Semos made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Kostas Mavrostomos sent off a good shot on target. When Veniamin Roussounelos fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santorini's protests and gave Veniamin Roussounelos a yellow card for diving instead. 91 minutes into the game, one of Santorini:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
