With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zinon Kazakopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mylopotamos FC's goalkeeper Zinon Kazakopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Mylopotamos FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Timos Mandraflis hit a great ball. Vaggelis Mitsikostas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zinon Kazakopoulos firmly grabbed it by the left post. 14 minutes into the match, KFC red roosters's Stamatis Santorineos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zinon Kazakopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th match minute, KFC red roosters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthimos Evaggellakis to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Giannis Manetas in the 18th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Pantelis Batsidis's left hand side. In the 33rd minute, Stamatis Santorineos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zinon Kazakopoulos. The goal made the score 2-0. Pantelis Batsidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markos Fotiadis in the 39th minute of the match. When Timos Mandraflis fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mylopotamos FC's protests and gave Timos Mandraflis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mylopotamos FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Timos Mandraflis hit a great ball. After 47 played minutes Mylopotamos FC got a freekick which was hit by Stergios Stratikis. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Timos Mandraflis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Mylopotamos FC's Markos Fotiadis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pantelis Batsidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by KFC red roosters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Giannis Manetas was slow to take the kick. During this time Mylopotamos FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mylopotamos FC's Giannis Manetas to fire away a dangerous shot which Pantelis Batsidis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mylopotamos FC were furious when Theofilos Bountos was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mylopotamos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Miltiadis Serpanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Pantelis Batsidis made a huge save. Vaggelis Mitsikostas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miltiadis Serpanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantelis Batsidis having to interfere. If Stamatis Santorineos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KFC red roosters fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mylopotamos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
