Stergios Topalidis made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Giorgos Kapatais sent off a good shot on target. Vaggelis Seretis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonis Velakos in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, City fc's Prokopis Traganitis got a free kick in the 31st minute. If Antonis Velakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Christos Sparos fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 3kala FC's protests and gave Christos Sparos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, 3kala FC's Christos Sparos got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stelios Skapaneas made a kick off. Stergios Topalidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgos Kapatais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 3kala FC's Vaggelis Seretis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save 3kala FC from getting a goal against them. Antonis Velakos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Vaggelis Seretis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vaggelis Seretis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonis Velakos in the 62nd minute. 70 minutes into the game, Giorgos Kapatais cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. When Giorgos Kapatais came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the 3kala FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giorgos Kapatais couldn't finish the play. Giorgos Kapatais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stergios Topalidis having to interfere. In the 96th minute Giorgos Kapatais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stergios Topalidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The 3kala FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while City fc had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
