When Vaggelis Mitsikostas came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the KFC red roosters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vaggelis Mitsikostas couldn't finish the play. Vaggelis Mitsikostas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Dimitris Psikos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Porta's Dimitris Psikos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stamatis Santorineos in the 11th minute of play. Porta's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Stamatis Santorineos 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Kostas Rapsopodis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantelis Batsidis having to interfere. When Panagiotis Lazaris, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Pantelis Batsidis was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vaggelis Mitsikostas got free with Dimitris Psikos in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Charis Sidiropoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 played minutes Porta got a freekick which was hit by Thodoris Tsaousis. With a little luck, Porta's Dimitris Psikos got control of the ball when Vaggelis Mitsikostas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Porta's Panagiotis Lazaris made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pantelis Batsidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stamatis Santorineos to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Porta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charis Sidiropoulos to maneuver through the defense. Pantelis Batsidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panagiotis Lazaris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoros Pavlidis's late challenge caught a Porta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoros Pavlidis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, KFC red roosters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoros Pavlidis to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Porta's Thomas Rousseas tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 74 played minutes Porta got a freekick which was hit by Thanasis Chatziioannou. In the 75thth minute of the game Vaggelis Mitsikostas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porta's Dimitris Psikos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Panagiotis Lazaris received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pantelis Batsidis came out and tried to block the shot, but Panagiotis Lazaris slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 78th minute. Pantelis Batsidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panagiotis Lazaris, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Vaggelis Mitsikostas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Dimitris Psikos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, KFC red roosters's Stamatis Santorineos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimitris Psikos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Vaggelis Mitsikostas sped through Porta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dimitris Psikos. KFC red roosters's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
