An unexpectedly hard shot by Stratos Poursaitidis in the 5th minute of play forced Varies FC's goalkeeper Eustratios Koufaliotis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of INTER FC booed when Varies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thodoris Skalakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, INTER FC's Stratos Poursaitidis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eustratios Koufaliotis. Eustratios Koufaliotis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stamatis Tsirkos in the 14th minute of play forced Varies FC's goalkeeper Eustratios Koufaliotis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eustratios Koufaliotis was a little too slow when Stratos Poursaitidis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. Eustratios Koufaliotis was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Stratos Poursaitidis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stratos Poursaitidis really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 29th play minute Stratos Poursaitidis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eustratios Koufaliotis. 4-0. Stamatis Poulakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Varies FC's Eustratios Koufaliotis got control of the ball when Stratos Poursaitidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giorgos Karatassos hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyriakos Kakalis to strike the kick off in the second half. Stamatis Poulakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stamatis Poulakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fotis Tsirogiannis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Eustratios Koufaliotis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michalis Kaliris, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Varies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stratos Poursaitidis came free, but Eustratios Koufaliotis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Fanis Farmakidis made a precise shot to the right of Eustratios Koufaliotis. Varies FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 78 minutes, Kyriakos Kakalis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varies FC and the INTER FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Kyriakos Kakalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Stratos Poursaitidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustratios Koufaliotis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. INTER FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varies FC the free kick. 95 minutes into the game, Stamatis Tsirkos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Eustratios Koufaliotis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that INTER FC were the better team. INTER FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
