The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alekos Tsartas's late challenge caught a Sarisa F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 15th minute Ntinos Koumarianos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Argyris Ladas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Ntinos Koumarianos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarisa F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ntinos Koumarianos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sofoklis Kanellopoulos made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Giannis Orfanos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarisa F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Giannis Orfanos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Argyris Ladas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
