Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giorgos Karatzas in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilias Lioutas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ilias Lioutas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argyris Karpenisis in the 27th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Argyris Karpenisis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilias Lioutas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alexis Trachanas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, ΠΑΤΡΑ-ΑΡΟΗ ΓΣ's Valerios Diamantidis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omiros Palavakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Argyris Karpenisis to make the kick off. Ilias Lioutas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argyris Karpenisis, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Argyris Karpenisis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ilias Lioutas. Argyris Karpenisis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΤΡΑ-ΑΡΟΗ ΓΣ's Panos Logothetis got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Alexis Trachanas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Omiros Palavakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kakaria BC's zone, Valerios Diamantidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omiros Palavakis came out of the goal and Valerios Diamantidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chatziantoniou Vranis charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chatziantoniou Vranis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Kakaria BC got a freekick which was hit by Chatziantoniou Vranis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valerios Diamantidis in the 76th minute of play forced Kakaria BC's goalkeeper Omiros Palavakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Argyris Karpenisis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, ΠΑΤΡΑ-ΑΡΟΗ ΓΣ's Valerios Diamantidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Omiros Palavakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Kakaria BC's zone, Alexis Trachanas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omiros Palavakis came out of the goal and Alexis Trachanas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ΠΑΤΡΑ-ΑΡΟΗ ΓΣ's Ilias Lioutas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argyris Karpenisis in the 93rd minute of play. After 94 minutes, Alketas Pirtsos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ΠΑΤΡΑ-ΑΡΟΗ ΓΣ and the Kakaria BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Alketas Pirtsos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kakaria BC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
