The referee ignored AEK SFC's protests and gave Themistoklis Moutsios a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Themistoklis Moutsios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petros Margaritis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fanis Petriniotis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Demis Dermitzakis having to make a save. Demis Dermitzakis was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Fanis Petriniotis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fanis Petriniotis really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stelios Valassoglou made a kick off. Thanos Tsabis charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thanos Tsabis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aetochorion BC booed when AEK SFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanos Tsabis didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Petros Margaritis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefanos Plitsis charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefanos Plitsis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fanis Petriniotis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Demis Dermitzakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Petros Margaritis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Petros Margaritis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AEK SFC had played much better football throughout.
