After a rather tough play, Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s Thodoris Kourentas got a free kick in the 17th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Fanis Vranas sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Stathis Borelis threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Fanis Vranas this time. In the 20th match minute, Marousi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theofanis Kazantzakis to maneuver through the defense. Sofoklis Kroustallis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Kostas Kaplanis made a huge save. Kostas Kaplanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukas Pagias in the 78th minute of the match. Stathis Borelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikos Pantazopoulos went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Grigoris Vamvakoulas kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Theofanis Kazantzakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikos Pantazopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stathis Borelis having to interfere. Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
