In the 13th match minute, AEK SFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Themistoklis Moutsios to maneuver through the defense. Sofoklis Kroustallis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to AEK SFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Fondas Stergiotis hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, Loukas Pagias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iordanis Prinianakis. Loukas Pagias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Iordanis Prinianakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sofoklis Kroustallis in the 25th minute. Aris Kominis charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aris Kominis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aris Kominis hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Π.Α.Ο.Κ.! In the 31st minute there was a penalty for AEK SFC. Adamantios Kakouros stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Stathis Borelis. 1-1. In the 35th minute, Sofoklis Kroustallis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Loukas Pagias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Loukas Pagias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fanis Petriniotis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Fanis Petriniotis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stathis Borelis, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in AEK SFC's zone, Sofoklis Kroustallis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordanis Prinianakis came out of the goal and Sofoklis Kroustallis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
