Panos Papadimas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 7 minutes of play, Petouniα's Panos Papadimas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stathis Borelis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stathis Borelis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Takis Poulakis's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Loukas Pagias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marios Mazarakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marios Mazarakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukas Pagias in the 18th minute of the match. After 20 minutes, Apostolis Kalaitzakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petouniα and the Π.Α.Ο.Κ. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 minutes Petouniα's goalkeeper Marios Mazarakis managed, with a little bit of luck, save Thodoris Kourentas's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. After some careless play in the Petouniα defense, Thodoris Kourentas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marios Mazarakis. The Petouniα fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marios Mazarakis should have stopped the shot. Sofoklis Kroustallis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marios Mazarakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loukas Pagias, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, Petouniα's Marios Mazarakis got control of the ball when Sofoklis Kroustallis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Takis Poulakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stathis Borelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takis Poulakis in the 37th minute of play forced Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s goalkeeper Stathis Borelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Takis Poulakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stathis Borelis having to interfere. Loukas Pagias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Petouniα's Soulis Valakopoulos got a free kick in the 78th minute. Petouniα's Marios Mazarakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sofoklis Kroustallis in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Panos Papadimas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stathis Borelis. Π.Α.Ο.Κ.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Panos Papadimas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The supporters of Π.Α.Ο.Κ. booed when Petouniα was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Takis Poulakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sofoklis Kroustallis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renos Stefanidis kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Petouniα's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
