The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emmanouil Papadamou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takis Mendrinos in the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lazarina FC's Panagiotis Chatziioannou got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Takis Mendrinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Periklis Kazantziou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Stefanos Tsirigoulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Muralαr BC's goal looked a bit too open when Takis Mendrinos came free, but Emmanouil Papadamou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Periklis Kazantziou took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Stefanos Tsirigoulis to make any attempt to save it. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lazarina FC's goalkeeper Stefanos Tsirigoulis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Theofanis Frantzeskos kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Periklis Kazantziou struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Stefanos Tsirigoulis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muralαr BC. Stefanos Tsirigoulis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Periklis Kazantziou in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Periklis Kazantziou made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Periklis Kazantziou in the 53rd minute of play forced Lazarina FC's goalkeeper Stefanos Tsirigoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Thalis Panou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anastasios Tassatos during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anastasios Tassatos hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonis Stavroulakis couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Takis Mendrinos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emmanouil Papadamou was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Emmanouil Papadamou was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Takis Mendrinos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Takis Mendrinos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After 86 minutes of play, Muralαr BC's Periklis Kazantziou made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stefanos Tsirigoulis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stefanos Tsirigoulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonis Stavroulakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 95 played minutes Muralαr BC got a freekick which was hit by Efthimis Vourousakis. Notis Karanasios took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emmanouil Papadamou. Muralαr BC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Muralαr BC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
