Themis Tsilikas started the match with the kick off. Vaggelis Meletidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Leonidas Labrakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nasos Kotsonis hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Themos Ntountas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iakovos Pathiakakis having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Vaggelis Meletidis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leonidas Labrakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonidas Labrakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vaggelis Meletidis in the 19th minute of play. Vaggelis Meletidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, Kerasokhσrion's Dimitris Christodoulopoulos tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Nikos Kounelakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Themos Ntountas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Iakovos Pathiakakis made a huge save. Themis Tsilikas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Iakovos Pathiakakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, AKITA's Vaggelis Meletidis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonidas Labrakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Kerasokhσrion players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AKITA were winning 0-1.

The audience was convinced that Themos Ntountas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iakovos Pathiakakis was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. If Vaggelis Meletidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, AKITA's goal looked a bit too open when Themis Tsilikas came free, but Iakovos Pathiakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iosif Bouloukos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iakovos Pathiakakis having to interfere. A collision led to AKITA getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kostas Telios hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the game, Daniil Dimitriadis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kerasokhσrion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKITA the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Daniil Dimitriadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vaggelis Meletidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vaggelis Meletidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Iosif Bouloukos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kerasokhσrion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AKITA the free kick. The AKITA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AKITA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
