Prokopis Vokolos hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Paris Valassidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ermis Bebis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute Paris Valassidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermis Bebis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Babbis Sabanis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babbis Sabanis in the 15th minute of play forced Ynwa FC's goalkeeper Christos Koulopodis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Babbis Sabanis came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Mits F.C.I fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babbis Sabanis couldn't finish the play. Pavlos Portoulas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute of the match Marios Chatzipetrou sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christos Koulopodis skillfully saved the ball. Babbis Sabanis struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Christos Koulopodis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mits F.C.I. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ynwa FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Mits F.C.I a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vrasidas Androulakis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ynwa FC's Christos Koulopodis. 0-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Paris Valassidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ynwa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paris Valassidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pavlos Portoulas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermis Bebis having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paris Valassidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ermis Bebis came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Ynwa FC's Paris Valassidis. But to his dismay, Paris Valassidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 57 minutes, Vlassis Prinianakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ynwa FC and the Mits F.C.I players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mits F.C.I booed when Ynwa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlassis Prinianakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stavros Stavrou scored 1-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christos Koulopodis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Babbis Sabanis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christos Koulopodis was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Vrasidas Androulakis put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mits F.C.I fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Ermis Bebis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paris Valassidis in the 85th minute of the match. Ilias Samaratos kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes in the game, Paris Valassidis dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 99 minutes into the match, Mits F.C.I's goal looked a bit too open when Paris Valassidis came free, but Ermis Bebis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Mits F.C.I supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mits F.C.I would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
