Babbis Varemenos, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a little luck, Ynwa FC's Christos Koulopodis got control of the ball when Stratos Psifidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stratos Psifidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Christos Koulopodis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Π.Α.Ο.Κ Δωδεκανησιακό F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Panagiotis Kokkolakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christos Koulopodis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pavlos Portoulas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paris Valassidis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Ynwa FC's Pavlos Portoulas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kostas Varelas. Kostas Varelas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Pavlos Portoulas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paris Valassidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ynwa FC's Christos Koulopodis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stratos Psifidis in the 66th minute of play. Iakovos Kafetzis kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Kosmas Koutsospyros charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kosmas Koutsospyros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Kokkolakis in the 77th minute of play forced Ynwa FC's goalkeeper Christos Koulopodis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sokratis Polimenakos kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 1-3 became the score in the 82nd minute when Stratos Psifidis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Ynwa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stratos Psifidis came free, but Christos Koulopodis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panagiotis Kokkolakis in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christos Koulopodis saved Ynwa FC from getting behind. If Panagiotis Kokkolakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stratos Psifidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Koulopodis having to interfere. The Ynwa FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
