Spectators: 7755 (Terracing: 5818, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Panagiotis Kastanoulis started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Zisis Tourkogiorgis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but panetolikos's Nikos Stavrou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zisis Tourkogiorgis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nikos Stavrou came out and tried to block the shot, but Zisis Tourkogiorgis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Menios Papaggelatos struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Kostas Giotoulis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for panetolikos. If Panagiotis Kastanoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Minas Theodorakelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Elikon Dragons's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave panetolikos the free kick. After a rather tough play, Red Elikon Dragons's Minas Theodorakelis got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 26th minute, Simos Tsabouris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of panetolikos booed when Red Elikon Dragons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Takis Georgakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Menios Papaggelatos came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the panetolikos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Menios Papaggelatos couldn't finish the play. Takis Georgakis charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Takis Georgakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Red Elikon Dragons getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Takis Georgakis hit a great ball. Menios Papaggelatos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kostas Giotoulis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Zisis Tourkogiorgis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zisis Tourkogiorgis in the 48th minute of play forced panetolikos's goalkeeper Nikos Stavrou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zisis Tourkogiorgis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zisis Tourkogiorgis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Vaggelis Stamatellis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Elikon Dragons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 59th minute, Anthimos Siradakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Panagiotis Kastanoulis in the 60th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With a little luck, Red Elikon Dragons's Kostas Giotoulis got control of the ball when Menios Papaggelatos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vaggelis Stamatellis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikos Stavrou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zisis Tourkogiorgis's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Zisis Tourkogiorgis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Elikon Dragons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zisis Tourkogiorgis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vaggelis Stamatellis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Zisis Tourkogiorgis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Elikon Dragons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zisis Tourkogiorgis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vaggelis Stamatellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Nikos Stavrou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zisis Tourkogiorgis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Zisis Tourkogiorgis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Stavrou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Red Elikon Dragons's Vaggelis Stamatellis in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye panetolikos's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Red Elikon Dragons had played much better football throughout.
