The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Xalkida's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Henric came free, but Marinos Stabouloglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Lucio Henric shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marinos Stabouloglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Xalkida's Iason Kapsis got a free kick in the 6th minute. Xalkida's Marinos Stabouloglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Henric in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Henric in the 10th minute of play forced Xalkida's goalkeeper Marinos Stabouloglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marinos Stabouloglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Henric in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Xalkida getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Iason Kapsis hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Stefanos Tsouknidas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xalkida's Marinos Stabouloglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Henric in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Lucio Henric managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Henric was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Lucio Henric got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucio Henric received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marinos Stabouloglou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marinos Stabouloglou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucio Henric's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Henric in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marinos Stabouloglou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half INTERNAZIONALE MILANO were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Vassilis Apostolidis made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Andreas Kostarakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Marinos Stabouloglou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Xalkida's Marinos Stabouloglou got control of the ball when Lucio Henric tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lucio Henric had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Koliakis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marinos Stabouloglou came out and tried to block the shot, but Thomas Koliakis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 59th minute. Ermis Pachopoulos's late challenge caught a INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermis Pachopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Xalkida's Ermis Pachopoulos got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st match minute, Xalkida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermis Pachopoulos to maneuver through the defense. INTERNAZIONALE MILANO's Grigoris Sakalakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefanos Tsouknidas in the 74th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Stefanos Tsouknidas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xalkida and the INTERNAZIONALE MILANO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Xalkida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefanos Tsouknidas to maneuver through the defense. Marinos Stabouloglou was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Thomas Koliakis. Marinos Stabouloglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Koliakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. With a little luck, Xalkida's Marinos Stabouloglou got control of the ball when Lucio Henric tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Xalkida fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. INTERNAZIONALE MILANO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
