In the 11th minute, Adamantios Venopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Giorgos Maras notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sosαndra FC's Tilemachos Galitsios. Tilemachos Galitsios was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Sosαndra FC's zone, Dionysis Anatolakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tilemachos Galitsios came out of the goal and Dionysis Anatolakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Dimitris Spyropoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostas Kaltsidis was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Sosαndra FC's Makis Konstantinidis got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Giorgos Maras came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Anνlion fans jumped to their feet. Tilemachos Galitsios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giorgos Maras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Sosαndra FC defense, Giorgos Maras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tilemachos Galitsios. The Sosαndra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tilemachos Galitsios should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Dionysis Anatolakis made the kick off in the second half. Kostas Kaltsidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonidas Anastasakis in the 51st minute of play. Dimitris Spyropoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kostas Kaltsidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play.
