Pavlos Thomakoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolas Letsos having to interfere. Nikolas Letsos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charalambos Stathiadis in the 16th minute of play. Charalambos Stathiadis took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikolas Letsos. Nikolas Letsos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sakis Sanidomenos charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sakis Sanidomenos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Charis Kebakopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute, Lakis Rakkas made a precise shot to the right of Veniamin Konstantaras. Covid FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Covid FC's Veniamin Konstantaras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Covid FC from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Charalambos Stathiadis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikolas Letsos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Pavlos Lygos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Nikolas Letsos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iakovos Thomakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolas Letsos having to interfere. Nikolas Letsos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iakovos Thomakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lakis Rakkas made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Lion of Serres 1964's zone, Iakovos Thomakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikolas Letsos came out of the goal and Iakovos Thomakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Charalambos Stathiadis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikolas Letsos. Lion of Serres 1964's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charalambos Stathiadis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 60 played minutes Covid FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexis Kapagiannopoulos. After some careless play in the Covid FC defense, Charis Kebakopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Veniamin Konstantaras. The Covid FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Veniamin Konstantaras should have stopped the shot. Charalambos Stathiadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikolas Letsos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charalambos Stathiadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Covid FC's goalkeeper Veniamin Konstantaras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Charalambos Stathiadis struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Nikolas Letsos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covid FC. When Pavlos Lygos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Covid FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavlos Lygos couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Lion of Serres 1964's goalkeeper Nikolas Letsos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pavlos Thomakoglou. In the 88th match minute, Covid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iakovos Thomakis to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Pavlos Thomakoglou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikolas Letsos. That made the score 2-4 in the 91 minute of play. Covid FC were furious when Michalis Nestoroulis was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Covid FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lion of Serres 1964:s goal. The referee gave Lion of Serres 1964 a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Charis Kebakopoulos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Covid FC's Veniamin Konstantaras. 3-4. When the final whistle sounded Covid FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lion of Serres 1964.
