Spectators: 7762 (Terracing: 5823, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 154) PANTHRAX's Dimosthenis Mitrovassilis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Pavlos Thomakoglou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavlos Thomakoglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute, Pavlos Lygos made a precise shot to the right of Giorgos Asimidis. PANTHRAX's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 8th play minutes Iakovos Thomakis shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Giorgos Asimidis and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charalambos Stathiadis in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giorgos Asimidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pavlos Lygos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trifon Tsiamakis scored 1-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Veniamin Konstantaras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giorgos Asimidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavlos Lygos in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Charalambos Stathiadis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Covid FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Charalambos Stathiadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Covid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Charalambos Stathiadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Asimidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, PANTHRAX's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenios Vourousis came free, but Giorgos Asimidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Covid FC's Charalambos Stathiadis made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giorgos Asimidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 40 minutes, Iakovos Thomakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iakovos Thomakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Iakovos Thomakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giorgos Asimidis was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Charalambos Stathiadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giorgos Asimidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charalambos Stathiadis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Covid FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charalambos Stathiadis to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Iakovos Thomakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Covid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iakovos Thomakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Asimidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trifon Tsiamakis kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Pavlos Thomakoglou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giorgos Asimidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Pavlos Thomakoglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. PANTHRAX's Giorgos Asimidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save PANTHRAX from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd match minute, Covid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavlos Lygos to maneuver through the defense. Iakovos Thomakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Giorgos Asimidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavlos Lygos struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Giorgos Asimidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covid FC. Giorgos Kyriakidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Giorgos Asimidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PANTHRAX's Giorgos Asimidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavlos Lygos in the 75th minute of play. Covid FC's Iakovos Thomakis got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giorgos Asimidis made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Iakovos Thomakis sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind PANTHRAX's goalkeeper Giorgos Asimidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Covid FC's Pavlos Thomakoglou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giorgos Asimidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pavlos Lygos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Giorgos Asimidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavlos Thomakoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pavlos Thomakoglou got free with Giorgos Asimidis in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Pavlos Lygos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
