The supporters of Ermis Kiveriou booed when Voliσnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michalis Iakovidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignatios Talitsikas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Kefalou having to interfere. Ermis Kiveriou's Nikos Tzanetakos got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Nikos Tzanetakos put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Iosif Kefalou. Thrasivoulos Georgiou made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Stamatis Polichronopoulos sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Stamatis Polichronopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ermis Kiveriou's Thrasivoulos Georgiou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thymios Kermelidis in the 26th minute of play. Stamatis Polichronopoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Thrasivoulos Georgiou made a huge save. A collision led to Voliσnes getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Apostolis Kostakis hit a great ball. Nikos Tzanetakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Iosif Kefalou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignatios Talitsikas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Kefalou having to interfere. A collision led to Ermis Kiveriou getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Fragiskos Manatakis hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thymios Kermelidis made a kick off. Stamatis Polichronopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikos Tzanetakos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iosif Kefalou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Stelios Chatzinikolaou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nikos Tzanetakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ermis Kiveriou getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Akis Skalidis hit a great ball. Stamatis Polichronopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iosif Kefalou made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Ignatios Talitsikas sent off a good shot on target. Ignatios Talitsikas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iosif Kefalou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Tzanetakos in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Nikos Tzanetakos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ermis Kiveriou and the Voliσnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Ermis Kiveriou was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Tzanetakos to maneuver through the defense. Nikos Tzanetakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Kefalou having to interfere. Nikos Tzanetakos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iosif Kefalou came out and tried to block the shot, but Nikos Tzanetakos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 95th minute. The Ermis Kiveriou players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
