LinkinPark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Veniamin Chalkias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind LinkinPark's goalkeeper Sotiris Geronimidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thrasivoulos Ivanidis charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee ignored AGE OF WAR's protests and gave Stergios Krassas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LinkinPark booed when AGE OF WAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stergios Krassas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Gerasimos Theriaklis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthimos Peppas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthimos Peppas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sofoklis Ioannou, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Gerasimos Theriaklis might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anthimos Peppas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerasimos Theriaklis ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the game, Gerasimos Theriaklis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Anthimos Peppas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LinkinPark fans cheered their team off the field, for while AGE OF WAR had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
