Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nikiforos Theofilou started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PANATHINAIKOS FC! Anestis Tsionas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Errikos Melonakos in the 11th minute. If Errikos Melonakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Molendikó FC's Nikiforos Theofilou ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anestis Tsionas. Anestis Tsionas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Errikos Melonakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Anestis Tsionas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Anestis Tsionas got control of the ball when Errikos Melonakos tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the match, Molendikó FC's goalkeeper Nestoras Kavvadias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iason Stasinopoulos. Anestis Tsionas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Errikos Melonakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Iason Stasinopoulos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nestoras Kavvadias. Nestoras Kavvadias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Nestoras Kavvadias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandros Dentsas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute Errikos Melonakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anestis Tsionas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anestis Tsionas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikiforos Theofilou in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Nikiforos Theofilou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute, Errikos Melonakos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anestis Tsionas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After a rather tough play, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Manos Staboulis got a free kick in the 89th minute. Nikiforos Theofilou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Anestis Tsionas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anestis Tsionas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikiforos Theofilou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Molendikó FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
