Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Soulis Tsitsiridis kicked off to start the match. Alketas Nestoriadis struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Fotis Kaklamanakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alkoolikoi FC. Vassilis Papadopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fotis Kaklamanakis having to interfere. Fotis Kaklamanakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Soulis Tsitsiridis in the 8th minute of the match. Panos Kappos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fanis Violaris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alkoolikoi FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Evripidis Basinas was slow to take the kick. During this time Stars's players had a chance to rest. Evripidis Basinas made a great header on Stars's corner, it was just that Alkoolikoi FC's Panos Kappos managed to reach the ball for a save. Stars's Fotis Kaklamanakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Papadopoulos in the 14th minute of play. If Thanasis Iordanidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giannis Antoniadis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 20th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Soulis Tsitsiridis in the 42nd minute of play forced Stars's goalkeeper Fotis Kaklamanakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Alkoolikoi FC booed when Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitris Tsichlas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fotis Kaklamanakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Papadopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Fanis Violaris made the kick off in the second half. Vassilis Papadopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fotis Kaklamanakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alkoolikoi FC's Soulis Tsitsiridis, in the 58th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. In the 60th minute, Alkoolikoi FC's Soulis Tsitsiridis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Fotis Kaklamanakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Soulis Tsitsiridis in the 70th minute of play. Fanis Violaris stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Alkoolikoi FC's defenders and the ball went out. Stars appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. After 76 minutes, Aggelos Kazanidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alkoolikoi FC and the Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Alkoolikoi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aggelos Kazanidis to maneuver through the defense. If Vassilis Papadopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Stars got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Pandrakis. When Thanasis Iordanidis fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stars's protests and gave Thanasis Iordanidis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Stars getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Thanasis Iordanidis hit a great ball. Alkoolikoi FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
