The supporters of DIAMANDIA booed when PANATHINAIKOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasos Velakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanos Lazanas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vassilis Kostoulas came out and tried to block the shot, but Thanos Lazanas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. Anastasios Ntaltos hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Petros Toufekas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a rather tough play, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Minas Kokkalas got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the match, DIAMANDIA's goal looked a bit too open when Thanos Lazanas came free, but Vassilis Kostoulas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PANATHINAIKOS FC's zone, Petros Toufekas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anestis Tsionas came out of the goal and Petros Toufekas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anestis Tsionas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Lentakos in the 86th minute. Andreas Lentakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Anestis Tsionas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PANATHINAIKOS FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
