Eustratios Kastanoulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanos Tataridis, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Paschalis Moulopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Kastanoulis having to interfere. After some careless play in the Abaladeros FC defense, Paschalis Moulopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustratios Kastanoulis. The Abaladeros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustratios Kastanoulis should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the match, Foiníkion BC's goalkeeper Paris Christoulis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giannis Kaprivourkos. In the 18th minute, Thanos Tataridis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Aggelos Roros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Eustratios Kastanoulis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giannis Kaprivourkos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, one of Abaladeros FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aggelos Roros kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A hard shot 37 in the game by Giannis Kaprivourkos from a close distance when the talented Paris Christoulis managed to make a qualified save. Foiníkion BC's players were relieved. Christos Georgiou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Foiníkion BC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Eutichios Christoulis hit a great ball. Eustratios Kastanoulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanos Tataridis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thanos Tataridis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eustratios Kastanoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanos Tataridis in the 51st minute of play. If Paschalis Moulopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th match minute, Abaladeros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manos Nioblias to maneuver through the defense. Paschalis Moulopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Tasos Protopsaltis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abaladeros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Foiníkion BC the free kick. Paris Christoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Kaprivourkos in the 64th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Christos Georgiou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paris Christoulis was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After having played for 74 minutes, Thanos Tataridis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foiníkion BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thanos Tataridis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giannis Kaprivourkos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abaladeros FC's Giannis Kaprivourkos got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Foiníkion BC's goalkeeper Paris Christoulis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Foiníkion BC's Nikiforos Sergakis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 91st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eustratios Kastanoulis but with some difficulty. If Thanos Tataridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
