In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympiakos fc's goalkeeper Chatziantoniou Bourbos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anagennisi Giannitson's Isidoros Karpetopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anthimos Mantzios made a great header on Anagennisi Giannitson's corner, it was just that Olympiakos fc's Chatziantoniou Bourbos managed to reach the ball for a save. With his leg Kostas Micheloudakis managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Olympiakos fc's Veniamin Lagoudakis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 54 minutes, Andreas Roumeliotis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anagennisi Giannitson and the Olympiakos fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chatziantoniou Bourbos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 79 minutes into the game, Veniamin Lagoudakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Kostas Micheloudakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The long shot by Dimitris Tsigounakis in the 87th minute really tested Kostas Micheloudakis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 89th minute, Konstantinos Kododimos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kostas Micheloudakis, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Anagennisi Giannitson's Alkis Bibis got a free kick in the 91st minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Olympiakos fc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Anagennisi Giannitson.
