Polichnitos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ the free kick. The supporters of ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ booed when Polichnitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacharias Tsiblidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Panos Giotoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polichnitos the free kick. After a rather tough play, ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Stathis Papadimoulis got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Avraam Kalathas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polichnitos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Stamatis Alexakis fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polichnitos's protests and gave Stamatis Alexakis a yellow card for diving instead. Stamatis Alexakis kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Panos Giotoulis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Petros Livadaras. Panos Giotoulis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After 36 played minutes ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ got a freekick which was hit by Fanis Pittarakis. When Fanis Pittarakis fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's protests and gave Fanis Pittarakis a yellow card for diving instead. Fanis Pittarakis hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Stamatis Saltiris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Petros Livadaras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Petros Livadaras managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Stamatis Saltiris fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stamatis Saltiris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Petros Livadaras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Polichnitos's goalkeeper Petros Livadaras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Panos Giotoulis to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stamatis Saltiris in the 51st minute of play forced Polichnitos's goalkeeper Petros Livadaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Polichnitos's Aimilios Boukas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 54 minutes of play ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Fanis Pittarakis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 55 played minutes ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ got a freekick which was hit by Fanis Pittarakis. Petros Livadaras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamatis Saltiris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stathis Papadimoulis was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 62nd match minute, ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stathis Papadimoulis to maneuver through the defense. Stamatis Saltiris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Paris Zouboulakis fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's protests and gave Paris Zouboulakis a yellow card for diving instead. Petros Livadaras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stamatis Saltiris went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
