After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Giorgos Ioannou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sirαkon's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgos Ioannou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fotis Perdikas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanos Stratidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sotos Megas went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Zacharias Kamelidis kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Apostolis Tsiartas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanos Stratidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giorgos Ioannou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgos Ioannou came free, but Fotis Perdikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα got a freekick which was hit by Orestis Theofilopoulos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Ioannou in the 26th minute of play forced Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's goalkeeper Fotis Perdikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavlos Rizos to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sotos Megas in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thanos Stratidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thanos Stratidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Moulakakis in the 36th minute of the match. Sotos Megas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alekos Mytilineos got free with Fotis Perdikas in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the game, Paris Mavridis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sirαkon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα the free kick. After 41 played minutes Sirαkon got a freekick which was hit by Paris Mavridis. Thanos Stratidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sotos Megas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sotos Megas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stelios Menegakis hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sotos Megas in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thanos Stratidis saved Sirαkon from getting behind. Sirαkon's Thanos Stratidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotos Megas in the 70th minute of play. In the 80th minute Sotos Megas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanos Stratidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanos Stratidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sotos Megas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's Apostolis Tsiartas got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stelios Menegakis lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Sirαkon:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα:s goal. When the match was over Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sirαkon throughout the match.
