Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kostas Moulakakis in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kostas Loukidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. PAOK NEAPOLI's Kostas Loukidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotos Megas in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, PAOK NEAPOLI's Kostas Loukidis got control of the ball when Kostas Moulakakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's goal looked a bit too open when Vlassis Charoulis came free, but Fotis Perdikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, PAOK NEAPOLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aris Papadopoulos to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Orestis Theofilopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orestis Theofilopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sotos Megas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Apostolis Tsiartas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vlassis Charoulis made a kick off. Kostas Loukidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Moulakakis in the 54th minute of the match. Savas Veggos kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Kostas Moulakakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in PAOK NEAPOLI's zone, Sotos Megas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Loukidis came out of the goal and Sotos Megas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kostas Loukidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apostolis Tsiartas in the 64th minute of the match. Fotis Perdikas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Savas Veggos in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Orestis Theofilopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PAOK NEAPOLI the free kick. In the 69th minute, Orestis Theofilopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Giannis Frantzeskos in the 69th minute really tested Fotis Perdikas's skills. Fotis Perdikas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 80th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Fotis Perdikas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Savas Veggos in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, PAOK NEAPOLI's Vladimiros Latousakis got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
