Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) Konstantinos Pavlopoulos made the kick off and thus started the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timos Seremeglis couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Polichnitos's goalkeeper Petros Livadaras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimitris Karalis. Petros Livadaras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iason Tsartsalis in the 18th minute of play. When Stamatis Alexakis fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polichnitos's protests and gave Stamatis Alexakis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Polichnitos getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Stamatis Alexakis hit a great ball. Aimilios Boukas hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes, Kokkinitsa's Achilleas Bikas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Petros Livadaras came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kokkinitsa reached it. Dimitris Karalis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Livadaras having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Iason Tsartsalis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petros Livadaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Iason Tsartsalis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kokkinitsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iason Tsartsalis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Polichnitos's Petros Livadaras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Tsartsalis in the 37th minute of play. Dimitris Karalis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Livadaras having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Iason Tsartsalis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petros Livadaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aimilios Boukas was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 45th minute, Aimilios Boukas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes Polichnitos got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Kotoulas. Dimitris Karalis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Livadaras having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iason Tsartsalis to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Avraam Kalathas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kostas Giotos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Kokkinitsa's Timos Seremeglis got a free kick in the 65th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimitris Karalis in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petros Livadaras saved Polichnitos from getting behind. Petros Livadaras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iason Tsartsalis in the 70th minute of the match. Iason Tsartsalis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Iason Tsartsalis came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Kokkinitsa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iason Tsartsalis couldn't finish the play. The Polichnitos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Polichnitos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
