The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Prokopis Kavalaris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Takis Drakopoulos made a huge save. Dimitris Kotsias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anestis Lazaridis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Berbαti's Tasos Pilavas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Prokopis Kavalaris had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Takis Drakopoulos. KOKAS F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prokopis Kavalaris was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 33 minutes into the game, Nasos Parlapidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KOKAS F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berbαti the free kick. In the 35th minute Argyris Christou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Takis Drakopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KOKAS F.C's Takis Drakopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save KOKAS F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute, Timos Panagou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Timos Panagou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tasos Pilavas's late challenge caught a KOKAS F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tasos Pilavas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Berbαti getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Tasos Pilavas hit a great ball. Timos Panagou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Anestis Lazaridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dimitris Kotsias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Argyris Christou made a kick off. Anestis Lazaridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timos Panagou, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Argyris Christou charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Argyris Christou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th match minute, Berbαti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Argyris Christou to maneuver through the defense. Anestis Lazaridis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timos Panagou in the 60th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Argyris Christou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Takis Drakopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Takis Drakopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prokopis Kavalaris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Prokopis Kavalaris came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Berbαti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prokopis Kavalaris couldn't finish the play. After 72nd play minutes Argyris Christou shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Takis Drakopoulos and just under the crossbar into goal. Anestis Lazaridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timos Panagou, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The supporters of Berbαti booed when KOKAS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iakovos Dentzas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Argyris Christou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Argyris Christou struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Takis Drakopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berbαti. In the 96th minute, Christos Giannidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the KOKAS F.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Berbαti.
