Nestoras Kolonelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Thanasis Fragoulakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 91 played minutes Milan got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Tsakiropoulos. There was no doubt that Milan were the better team. Milan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
