The corner went over the outstretched arms of Olympiakos Zakynthoy FC's goalie and right to Alekos Karousis. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Olympiakos Zakynthoy FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timos Panagou in the 19th minute of play forced Olympiakos Zakynthoy FC's goalkeeper İlhami Taçyıldız to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iakovos Dentzas got free with İlhami Taçyıldız in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nontas Katsaros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Takis Drakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. KOKAS F.C's Takis Drakopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stamatis Matzanas in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timos Panagou to make the kick off. In the 78thth minute of the game Dimitris Kotsias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympiakos Zakynthoy FC's İlhami Taçyıldız was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th match minute, Olympiakos Zakynthoy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lambros Kokotoulis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Olympiakos Zakynthoy FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ntinos Boukogiannis hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Dimitris Kotsias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of İlhami Taçyıldız. Olympiakos Zakynthoy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimitris Kotsias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Stamatis Matzanas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Takis Drakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stamatis Matzanas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İlhami Taçyıldız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Kotsias, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KOKAS F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Olympiakos Zakynthoy FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
