Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nikos Kraidis started the match with the kick off. REDS FC's Nikos Kraidis got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of REDS FC booed when Valkαnon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paschalis Kroustallis didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Papapetrou in the 7th minute of play forced REDS FC's goalkeeper Nestoras Kolonelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Panos Papapetrou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nestoras Kolonelos. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. The supporters of Valkαnon booed when REDS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoforos Belos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valkαnon's Babbis Siskos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for REDS FC. Valkαnon's Odysseas Kaktos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Kraidis in the 19th minute of play. Nestoras Kolonelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paschalis Kroustallis in the 23rd minute of play. After 27 played minutes, Valkαnon's Ermis Papagiannatos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nestoras Kolonelos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Valkαnon reached it. Nestoras Kolonelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Papapetrou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Panos Papapetrou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Papapetrou in the 39th minute of play forced REDS FC's goalkeeper Nestoras Kolonelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tasos Abelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestoras Kolonelos having to interfere. Tasos Abelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Panos Papapetrou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind REDS FC's goalkeeper Nestoras Kolonelos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christoforos Belos's late challenge caught a Valkαnon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christoforos Belos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to REDS FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Christoforos Belos hit a great ball. Tasos Abelas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Nestoras Kolonelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestoras Kolonelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panos Papapetrou's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Alekos Valassopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Odysseas Kaktos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Nikos Kraidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odysseas Kaktos having to interfere. When Theodosis Liolidis fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored REDS FC's protests and gave Theodosis Liolidis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, REDS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theodosis Liolidis to maneuver through the defense. Nestoras Kolonelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tasos Abelas in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Kraidis in the 75th minute of play forced Valkαnon's goalkeeper Odysseas Kaktos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Valkαnon's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Kraidis came free, but Odysseas Kaktos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Nikos Spazokefalos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valkαnon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REDS FC the free kick. Nikos Kraidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tasos Abelas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestoras Kolonelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Panos Papapetrou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tasos Abelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestoras Kolonelos having to interfere. Nestoras Kolonelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panos Papapetrou's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Valkαnon's zone, Alekos Valassopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Odysseas Kaktos came out of the goal and Alekos Valassopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the REDS FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Valkαnon.
