Sokráki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charilaos Samaras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, KOKAS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Charilaos Samaras came free, but Takis Drakopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Takis Drakopoulos made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Paschalis Mingas sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute Charilaos Samaras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Takis Drakopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efthimis Anagnostou kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Timos Panagou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikos Bollos was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Paschalis Mingas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Takis Drakopoulos, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Sokráki booed when KOKAS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasos Parlapidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sokráki players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KOKAS F.C were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timos Panagou to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Nasos Parlapidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sokráki's goalkeeper Nikos Bollos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Paschalis Mingas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Takis Drakopoulos. KOKAS F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paschalis Mingas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Dimitris Kotsias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, KOKAS F.C's Christos Giannidis got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Charilaos Samaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Takis Drakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Charilaos Samaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sokráki's Efthimis Anagnostou got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Timos Panagou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Bollos having to interfere. The KOKAS F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KOKAS F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
