Nestoras Kolonelos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Vidhiαkion's Apostolis Bagasakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alekos Valassopoulos in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Tasos Boulas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vidhiαkion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REDS FC the free kick. In the 12th minute, Tasos Boulas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, REDS FC's Theodosis Liolidis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Vidhiαkion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REDS FC the free kick. After 16 played minutes Vidhiαkion got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Stamatopoulos. Thanasis Fragoulakis kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Lambis Soupidis struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Nestoras Kolonelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vidhiαkion. The referee ignored REDS FC's protests and gave Dionysis Koufos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, one of REDS FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for REDS FC. In the 33rd minute, Vidhiαkion got a penalty, and Vassilis Roditis placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikos Kraidis was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in REDS FC's zone, Lambis Soupidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestoras Kolonelos came out of the goal and Lambis Soupidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apostolis Bagasakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nikos Kraidis's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Lambis Soupidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Nestoras Kolonelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Vidhiαkion booed when REDS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petros Adamatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to REDS FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Christoforos Belos hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Vidhiαkion's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Kraidis came free, but Apostolis Bagasakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nestoras Kolonelos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
