Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Koulis Mitsotakis started the match with the kick off. Christos Kourkoubetis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giorgos Kaliakatsos having to make a save. In the 5th match minute, AMSTERDAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolis Vallas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Michalis Zelelidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. DANAOS AE's supporters rose to their feet, but Michalis Zelelidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Kaliakatsos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giorgos Kaliakatsos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christos Kourkoubetis's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Michalis Zelelidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christos Kourkoubetis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgos Kaliakatsos having to interfere. Giorgos Kaliakatsos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Zelelidis in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute of the match Christos Papastergiou shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paschalis Ballas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Koulis Mitsotakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paschalis Ballas having to interfere. After 26 played minutes DANAOS AE got a freekick which was hit by Petros Karagiannidis. After a defensive mix-up in DANAOS AE's zone, Giannis Kakavitsas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paschalis Ballas came out of the goal and Giannis Kakavitsas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paschalis Ballas was a little too slow when Koulis Mitsotakis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 35th minute, Christos Kourkoubetis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christos Kourkoubetis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Giorgos Kaliakatsos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giorgos Kaliakatsos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christos Kourkoubetis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christos Kourkoubetis made a kick off. If Giannis Kakavitsas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Christos Kourkoubetis managed to get in a good position for a shot. DANAOS AE's supporters rose to their feet, but Christos Kourkoubetis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Kaliakatsos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christos Kourkoubetis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. DANAOS AE's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Giorgos Kaliakatsos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michalis Zelelidis in the 58th minute. AMSTERDAM's Giannis Kakavitsas suffered a concussion after 63 minutes and had to leave the field. After 64 played minutes DANAOS AE got a freekick which was hit by Valerios Chatzifotis. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Koulis Mitsotakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. AMSTERDAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Koulis Mitsotakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paschalis Ballas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michalis Zelelidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christos Kourkoubetis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dimitris Pantos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koulis Mitsotakis in the 74th minute of play forced DANAOS AE's goalkeeper Paschalis Ballas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AMSTERDAM getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Giannis Ntinopoulos hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Christos Kourkoubetis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Kaliakatsos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Michalis Zelelidis came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the DANAOS AE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michalis Zelelidis couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Michalis Zelelidis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Kourkoubetis in the 95th minute of play forced AMSTERDAM's goalkeeper Giorgos Kaliakatsos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Koulis Mitsotakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Many of DANAOS AE's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. DANAOS AE may have spent more time on the ball, but AMSTERDAM were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
