Babbis Kyrgiakos started the match with the kick off. Babbis Kyrgiakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikitas Zervoulakis having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Melissia's goalkeeper Nikitas Zervoulakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manolis Vasilopoulos. In the 7th match minute, Melissia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kleon Bosoulas to maneuver through the defense. Manolis Vasilopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Nikitas Zervoulakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manolis Vasilopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The throw-in from Notis Lalas in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pirgoto FC's Iordanis Karapostolou. Melissia's Nikitas Zervoulakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordanis Karapostolou in the 21st minute of play. Nasos Souflas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Manolis Vasilopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Babbis Kyrgiakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Melissia's goal looked a bit too open when Manolis Vasilopoulos came free, but Nikitas Zervoulakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stratos Macheritsas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fondas Athanasiadis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match, Manolis Vasilopoulos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nikitas Zervoulakis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Iordanis Karapostolou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikitas Zervoulakis. That made the score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. Nikitas Zervoulakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Kyrgiakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Stratos Macheritsas made the kick off in the second half. Nikitas Zervoulakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babbis Kyrgiakos in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Manolis Vasilopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manolis Vasilopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikitas Zervoulakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Melissia's zone, Manolis Vasilopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikitas Zervoulakis came out of the goal and Manolis Vasilopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Dimosthenis Charakos fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Melissia's protests and gave Dimosthenis Charakos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Melissia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Dimosthenis Charakos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stratos Macheritsas in the 61st minute of play forced Pirgoto FC's goalkeeper Fondas Athanasiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Babbis Kyrgiakos came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Pirgoto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babbis Kyrgiakos couldn't finish the play. Babbis Kyrgiakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Melissia's zone, Manolis Vasilopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikitas Zervoulakis came out of the goal and Manolis Vasilopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Babbis Kyrgiakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikitas Zervoulakis having to interfere. Manolis Vasilopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikitas Zervoulakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manolis Vasilopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. If Manolis Vasilopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manolis Vasilopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikitas Zervoulakis having to interfere. Kleon Bosoulas made in the 79th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Manos Toursounidis however managed to control. Alexis Giannikos came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fondas Athanasiadis could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Pirgoto FC's Lambis Vardinogiannis got a free kick in the 81st minute. Notis Lalas made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Manos Toursounidis. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Manolis Vasilopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirgoto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manolis Vasilopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikitas Zervoulakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Iordanis Karapostolou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Telis Chasiotis hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Pirgoto FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
