The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thrasivoulos Kotopoulos's late challenge caught a PAO KORINTHOU's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thrasivoulos Kotopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. Markos Karpazidis kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Louis Tsopakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manos Teneketzis hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Akhσmavron were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after PAO KORINTHOU's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Periklis Tiropoulos took the corner. Akhσmavron's Periklis Tiropoulos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Grigoris Karoulas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fotis Labaras during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Akhσmavron booed when PAO KORINTHOU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fotis Labaras didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Akhσmavron's zone, Charalambos Spyropoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Savas Agapidis came out of the goal and Charalambos Spyropoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Akhσmavron defense, Charalambos Spyropoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Savas Agapidis. The Akhσmavron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Savas Agapidis should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes into the match, PAO KORINTHOU's goal looked a bit too open when Stefanos Sakallieros came free, but Grigoris Karoulas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Alkinoos Argyriou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akhσmavron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alkinoos Argyriou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grigoris Karoulas made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Alkinoos Argyriou sent off a good shot on target. Savas Agapidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charalambos Spyropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When Charalambos Spyropoulos fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PAO KORINTHOU's protests and gave Charalambos Spyropoulos a yellow card for diving instead. Charalambos Spyropoulos hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Markos Karpazidis during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Akhσmavron getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Markos Karpazidis hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefanos Sakallieros was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Akhσmavron's zone, Charalambos Spyropoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Savas Agapidis came out of the goal and Charalambos Spyropoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Akhσmavron's Savas Agapidis got control of the ball when Sokratis Stasinos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute Alkinoos Argyriou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigoris Karoulas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Manos Teneketzis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sokratis Stasinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Markos Karpazidis hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as PAO KORINTHOU's Charalambos Spyropoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Savas Agapidis. That made the score 0-3 after 85 minutes of play. Charalambos Spyropoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, PAO KORINTHOU's Adamantios Anastasiou got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Stefanos Sakallieros struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Grigoris Karoulas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Akhσmavron. In the 98th match minute, PAO KORINTHOU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manos Teneketzis to maneuver through the defense. Adamantios Anastasiou kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. PAO KORINTHOU's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
