Melissia's Nikitas Zervoulakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkinoos Argyriou in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Akhσmavron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markos Karpazidis to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Petros Bantas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Savas Agapidis. The goal made the score 2-0. 24 minutes into the game, Akhσmavron's Alkinoos Argyriou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikitas Zervoulakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The Akhσmavron fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Akhσmavron's Alkinoos Argyriou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stratos Macheritsas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stratos Macheritsas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nikitas Zervoulakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefanos Sakallieros's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The supporters of Akhσmavron booed when Melissia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Giannikos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alkinoos Argyriou might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikitas Zervoulakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petros Bantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Savas Agapidis having to interfere. Alkinoos Argyriou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. If Alkinoos Argyriou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
