When Markos Karpazidis came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Akhσmavron fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markos Karpazidis couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the match, Akhσmavron's goal looked a bit too open when Zinon Pentaras came free, but Savas Agapidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stavros Nikolaidis got free with Stathis Ipsilantis in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zinon Pentaras scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Savas Agapidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Lapokhσri's Paraskevas Rovolis got a free kick in the 18th minute. A collision led to Lapokhσri getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Zinon Pentaras hit a great ball. Savas Agapidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Themis Koulakidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 25 minutes, Zinon Pentaras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lapokhσri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zinon Pentaras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 played minutes, Lapokhσri's Eleftherios Prittas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Savas Agapidis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lapokhσri reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stavros Nikolaidis during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Akhσmavron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stavros Nikolaidis to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes, Lapokhσri's Paraskevas Theofilopoulos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Savas Agapidis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Akhσmavron's Savas Agapidis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Themis Koulakidis to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Akhσmavron fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! 0-3 came through a penalty shot after 63 played minutes, when Lapokhσri:s Paraskevas Theofilopoulos calmly waited for Akhσmavron:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefanos Sakallieros in the 68th minute of play forced Lapokhσri's goalkeeper Stathis Ipsilantis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zinon Pentaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Savas Agapidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themis Koulakidis in the 79th minute of the match. Savas Agapidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themis Koulakidis in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Akhσmavron's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paraskevas Theofilopoulos was slow to take the kick. During this time Lapokhσri's players had a chance to rest. Lapokhσri's Paraskevas Theofilopoulos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Savas Agapidis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themis Koulakidis in the 84th minute of play forced Akhσmavron's goalkeeper Savas Agapidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stathis Ipsilantis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefanos Sakallieros in the 88th minute of the match. Lapokhσri were furious when Eleftherios Prittas was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Lapokhσri:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Akhσmavron:s goal. Periklis Tiropoulos shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Lapokhσri's Stathis Ipsilantis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkinoos Argyriou in the 94th minute of play. Paraskevas Rovolis hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Lapokhσri's goal looked a bit too open when Alkinoos Argyriou came free, but Stathis Ipsilantis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stavros Nikolaidis was shown his second yellow card after 98 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The Lapokhσri players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
