Dimosthenis Louverdis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babbis Kyrgiakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Manolis Vasilopoulos sped through Merkada2019's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dimosthenis Louverdis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paschalis Chroniou in the 85th minute of play forced Pirgoto FC's goalkeeper Fondas Athanasiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pirgoto FC's Fondas Athanasiadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sofoklis Bogias in the 88th minute of play. Fondas Athanasiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefanos Stefanis in the 89th minute of play. Pirgoto FC played a much better game than Merkada2019 and deserved their victory. The Merkada2019 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
