Markos Simitis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kostas Staboulidis succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Iason Kiourtsidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kostas Staboulidis took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markos Simitis. Markos Simitis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Polydeukis FC's Andreas Skrekis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Arkadis in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match Andreas Katrakis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andreas Skrekis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evaggelos Stoltidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. If Iason Kiourtsidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaggelos Stoltidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Skrekis having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iason Kiourtsidis to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Polydeukis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Orfaniotis to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kostas Staboulidis in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Markos Simitis saved Godhιna FC from getting behind. After 57 played minutes Polydeukis FC got a freekick which was hit by Fotis Manousos. Giannis Baloukos kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Iason Kiourtsidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charis Karidas kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Markos Simitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iason Kiourtsidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kostas Staboulidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iason Bosinakos charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iason Bosinakos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Polydeukis FC booed when Godhιna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iason Bosinakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Markos Simitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iason Kiourtsidis in the 93rd minute of play. Kostas Staboulidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markos Simitis having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Polydeukis FC had played much better football throughout.
