The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Arvanitaνika FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marios Petaloudas came free, but Ilias Tsakiris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilias Tsakiris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marios Petaloudas, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Ilias Tsakiris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marios Petaloudas went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Fokas Kakkos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Arvanitaνika FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dorotheos Podaras hit a great ball. Ilias Tsakiris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marios Petaloudas in the 16th minute of the match. After 18 minutes, Marios Petaloudas made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Arvanitaνika FC's Ilias Tsakiris tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute of the match Nikos Gougoulakis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilias Tsakiris skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of NERAXHURI booed when Arvanitaνika FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spyros Sardanis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Arvanitaνika FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marios Petaloudas came free, but Ilias Tsakiris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grigoris Kaliakoudis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Dimitris Sarafis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marios Petaloudas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilias Tsakiris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Arvanitaνika FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fokas Kakkos came free, but Ilias Tsakiris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grigoris Kaliakoudis to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigoris Kaliakoudis in the 51st minute of play forced NERAXHURI's goalkeeper Dimitris Sarafis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marios Banellis fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NERAXHURI's protests and gave Marios Banellis a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes NERAXHURI got a freekick which was hit by Marios Banellis. Vassilis Koulakidis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dimitris Sarafis. NERAXHURI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 57th minute, Fokas Kakkos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dimitris Sarafis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charis Manolas's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Charis Manolas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marios Petaloudas might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilias Tsakiris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marios Petaloudas ran back to his position shaking his head. Fokas Kakkoss short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Ilias Tsakiris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Manolas in the 75th minute of play forced NERAXHURI's goalkeeper Dimitris Sarafis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marios Petaloudas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. NERAXHURI's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fokas Kakkos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilias Tsakiris having to make a save. Charis Manolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charis Manolas took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dimitris Sarafis. Dimitris Sarafis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
