The crowd rose to their feet as KALLITHEA's Marios Maltezos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kostas Pavlakos. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vassilis Moras got free with Kostas Pavlakos in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimitris Velas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kostas Perdikouris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Kostas Pavlakos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vassilis Moras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dimitris Velas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lambros Santamouris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kostas Pavlakos made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Vassilis Moras sent off a good shot on target. The KALLITHEA fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when KALLITHEA's Vassilis Moras looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Thanos Prevezanos scored 5-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kostas Pavlakos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 72 played minutes KALLITHEA got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Kalabokis. Kostas Perdikouris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Velas having to interfere. In the 75th minute Lambros Santamouris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Velas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KALLITHEA's Dimitris Velas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save KALLITHEA from getting a goal against them. Omiros Mantzios's late challenge caught a A.E. KANALIWN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omiros Mantzios helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, KALLITHEA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omiros Mantzios to maneuver through the defense.
